For just $350 we got a steal of a PC on eBay! This system features the Intel i7 8700K and GTX 1080 Ti. The 1080 Ti is awesome because it performs similar to an RTX 2070 Super for a fraction of the price. This system should be amazing for 1080P high refresh rate and more!

I had the aurora r7 with the same specs for over 7 years and it ran everything I wanted to play on it until 2025 with no issues. The only upgrades I made over the years were upgrading to 32gb of RAM, adding a SATA SSD for storage, and repasting the cpu. I ended up building a new rig when the 9070xt dropped and sold the aurora to a high school kid on craigslist for 100 dollars; I hope they're happy with it.

my roommates kid is using my old mitx 8086k/1080ti custom loop build, i got her running DX12 in FN, runs 165hz 1080p and less stutters than DX11

I found an R6 locally for $40 minus the ssd, memory and graphics card. Slapped in an RX580, 16gb ddr4, and a 1Tb m.2 to complete it and I’ve been enjoying it .

$349 for an Alienware with a 1080 Ti? That’s an absolute steal in 2025, especially considering the performance still holds up today. Sure, the 1080 Ti is old tech, but it was a monster when it dropped, and it’s still giving solid 1080p gameplay. The fact that this system is well-refurbished is a huge bonus—no one wants to unbox a dusty mess. And shout out to whoever decided to throw in the original Alienware box—talk about a cool touch for collectors or nostalgia seekers.

Just got a similar R7 for my friend, 1070ti and 8700 for $200, which came with a Corsair K100 keyboard, an okay monitor, and a power strip. Felt like highway robbery when I picked it up and only found out after that you guys posted this video like one day before I bought it lmao

I took a chance on one of those listed as for parts a while back, one generation newer, the R8, it came with a 9700k, 32Gb RAM, and a 1070t and a 1TB NVME with really low hours. It didn't work, had a bad motherboard, I only had $75 into it, so I found an R7 motherboard on Ebay cheap, $55 as I remember, it wasn't listed but it came with an 8700k and 16gb RAM. I put the new motherboard in and left the 8700K in it, and it fired right up and ran it ran great, mine had an 850W Platinum PSU, that actually worked in another PC I was working on as well. I ended up selling it as it was, with the 8700k and 16GB RAM and 1070ti, cleaned it up and repasted GPU for $400 and felt like I did well and the buyer got a good value. I took the 9700k and upgraded my brothers main rig from an 8600KF.

Said this already several times, but it would be nice to see the GPU clock on the OSD.

I have the same specs except that I have an ASUS GTX 1060 6GB Turbo, a 1TB NVME M.2 SSD, a 2TB HDD, a 240mm AIO cooler, and a Kediers C570 open air case. Now I have an idea of what to expect if I upgrade to a 1080 Ti.

I bought that exact same PC on eBay, had really bad coil whine noise at high refresh rates, but gaming wise no complaints.

It's crazy to see an Alienware pc that isn't total crap.

Had a Area 51 back when they were a small company in Miami, FL. Never had a issue with it. I have noticed Dell has listen to us, the new Area 51 has a standard MB in it now.

That was the model PC Epic Games had for the World Cup. Not sure if it's the same specs or not.

I've worked on one of those. The cooling is lack luster. I'd stay on top of cleaning on that one.
