I love Roy and Ronny's friendship. And Roy is a very caring deep person.

We're always kinda stuck in limbo. If we mind our own business and stay within our own enclaves, then we're criticized for not assimilating into American culture and society. If we do try to adopt American values and voice our opinions, our voices are dismissed and we're told to "go back to our country".

When people ask me where I’m from, I say Phoenix. Then they might ask where I was born, again I’d say Phoenix. There seems to be some kind of need to label the thing that makes me different from them. Never really felt like an American growing up.

African Americans are treated like second class citizens who must must keep loving a country that see us as inferior trouble makers.

I totally get Ronny!! The question to Black ppl in Michigan is .. “So, you live in Detroit (nothing wrong w/ that but it’s a stereotype)..” As if Michigan isn’t almost 100, 000 square miles and 10th largest populated state of all 50!👩🏾‍🦳👊🏾💥

What it's like being Asian in America? Being Asian American, means always being asked, where are you from? No, where are you from originally?

Right on the money, many of us that don't fit the "American Look" (whatever that is) are treated as perpetual foreigners.

Yeah my Indonesian buddies catch flack now but they're at least on visas lol I know Pakistanis that have been here for 30 years and they're not seen as American either. *Fist bump to all my Asian brothers*

Not Asian or American but here in Ireland when covid first happened, some of the aunts on Facebook types were going to “never get Chinese again”. I’m like the dude who runs the Chinese restaurant hasn’t been home in 25 years and has a strong Irish accent. How has he anything to do with corona virus. Needless to say same people posted 6 months later about treating themselves to a take away

It’s really sad asian americans aren’t treated normally… and the sadder thing is that this kind of thinking - asking asian american about stuff from asia as if they aren’t born americans - actually still isn’t much talked about on powerful media, moreover some media even provoke ppl being against asian americans you can guess why…(((

Yeah. This is nuts. And right now it's not just like if Anglo-Americans were asked what's going on in the UK, but is if something was going on in the UK that people didn't like, people started shouting "Go back to England!", then out of the blue someone tried to stab you with a knife.
