for those who don’t know, alexandra trovusa was the first woman to land 5 quads in one program. she landed them at the 2022 beijing olympics and was confident she was going to win. sadly though, Anna Shcherbakova ended up winning first gold. this caused alexandra to break down in tears and have a mental breakdown, claiming to never in her life return to ice. this caused a lot of conflict of people claiming that she should have won.

edit: forgot to mention she’s still skating and is rumored to return at the 2026 winter olympics.

the person who won, should've won. I love Sasha but Anna deserved to win, Sasha put her everything into that too but don't you think its not very kind to make the person who won gold feel like they didn't deserve it

The judges are absolutely not fool. So if they have chosen Anna to win, of course Anna deserved to win. Yes Alexander performed five quads but Anna performed neatly. (No hate to anyone)

Anna deserved to win. Her performance was so neat and clean and yet outstanding. Yes, Sasha performed 5 quads but, figure skating is not about how many tricks you can do.

Anna definitely had the better skate on the night and deserved to win. But whether she skated well enough throughout the season to be selected over Tuktamysheva is another question.

It's not just about jumps, not just about points. The whole presentation is important. I'm also a big Fan of the Russian rocket ❤ love her Energy. But she is right in second place. No discussion necessary, just look at the performance from the first place. No matter how breathtaking Trusova was. But Schtscherbakowa's Performance, her execution and her facial expressions were always perfect and someone who was always perfect deserves first place 😉

if there's no issue about doping, none of them will get the gold..kamila will take it....its obvious that kamila (out of focus) intentionally drops points to finish 4th in order for the team (ROC) to get gold and silver...the ioc allowed her to compete in individual category but if she get a podium finish there will be no awarding ceremony bcoz of the doping issue.(giving of medal will be pending).so i think its a coaching decision to give away medal from kamila for the team to get home gold and silber...my heart broke for Kamila.
