I think what we are seeing is neglect on maintenance of railroad tracks. For years while living in Fort Lauderdale Florida, I would sit at a crossing near my house and watch the loose tracks move up and down while train cars passed over. It was obvious that the wood and metal were not secured in places. Fortunately it was a straightaway.

I used to have " railroad tracks" on my "Don't want", home search list, but I was more concerned with traffic and noise. The people who live near railroad tracks, anywhere in the US, might be considered to be living in a hazardous environment. With so many of our democratic ways of life being destroyed, if we don't feel safe in our homes, what's left. Our children don't know if they're safe at school, now they can't be sure they're safe at home.
Our infrastructure and our GOP controlled House are broken. 🙄😪🙄😪🙄😪🙄😪🙄😪🙄
