I will admit, I am an Arsenal fan and that anthem is epic. I always get chills when I hear it.

The very first time I went to Anfield, to see Liverpool play. It was magical to hear, see and witness YNWA being sung is unique. It's something that needs to be experienced to be believed. Amazing

The most special club. There is meaning behind it.

Originally recorded as a single by Elvis's favorite male singer Roy Hamilton back in 1954 (ish). Hamilton's recording was part of Elvis's record collection at Graceland when he died. Gerry Marsden came to the record through it's connection to Elvis and not through Carousel the musical.

Liverpool fans are just iconic.

YNWA, Anfield, the Kop.

Look at the clubs that named their stand after the Kop. (PSG, Leeds, Forest, Wrexham, Guingamp, Birmingham city, Sheff Wednesday, Sheff Utd, Breda, etc).

Look how many clubs took inspiration of YNWA (Celtic, Dortmund, Mainz, Fayenoord)

I don’t think Arsenal fans know the words, just sounds like humming than singing.

As u say the song was in the charts for ages and when it left the charts it wasn't played at Anfield that's when the kop started singing it by themselves. Nothing to do with the edd sullivan show.!

I am curious why it was not mentioned that the song was first sung in the UK by Celtic Football Club in Scotland, prior to it becoming a Liverpool anthem??

What about justice for the families of the Heysel victims? All LFC and the city of Liverpool had to pay was a UEFA ban. LFC, always the victims, never the baddies.

Lamest anthem in the history of anthems. It sounds like a cope. Are you crying when you say this? Do you need a hug? Did a woman write these lyrics while helping a girlfriend through a rough breakup? 🤣
