The NBA needs to put some respect on the Memphis Grizzlies. Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies are a legit threat in the western conference and should be viewed as such. Grizzlies fan here, they are a resilient young team who play for each other. They are often viewed as arrogant but I just think they are young and confident and just have fun playing ball. I think if the core players don't get injuries we could go deep into the conference play off. I think they are really finding their team rhythm, however far they go this season it will be a fun crazy ride!

The only people who were ever “worried” about Memphis are outside the Memphis fan base, I think. Anyone who watches them regularly knows they are at LEAST a contender and probably the favorite to come out of the West. They are essentially the only team in the Western Conference with elite defense, and they are clearly the deepest team in the NBA.

I’ve been saying this but nobody listens. As a Ja Morant fan and as a Grizzlies fan.. these boys are dangerous and Taylor Jenkins is a damn good coach. Most playoff series come down to who can make better adjustments and I feel like this team can do that and make a deep run. Gonna be fun to watch for sure.

Memphis native, thank you for this. Grizzlies are getting no love when it comes to the playofs despite being the most complete team in the west and our big three all missing 10 games plus this season. I have them minimum WCF exit.

Unfortunately, they haven't been a really good rebounding team without Adams. The slide you mentioned began when Adams got injured and they went from 2nd best (I think) to down in the 20-somethings in rebounding. In an underrated team, Adams is a hugely underrated player. He does so much that just doesn't show up on a stats sheet. He makes scoring so much easier for his teammates. It is a huge credit to the team that they have adjusted and are consistently winning again. But if Adams can get back for the finals then yeah, I think they have a serious chance at making a deep playoff run.
