The Blue Mosque (Called Sultan Ahmet Camii in Turkish) is an historical mosque in Istanbul. Mosque was built between 1609 and 1616, during the rule of Ahmed I.

This mosque is tradition and importance to the history of the Ottoman Empire and the city of Istanbul. The mosque is known as the Blue Mosque because of blue tiles surrounding the walls of interior design.

Many people continue to go there not only to embrace its architectural beauty, but also to participate in daily prayer services that still occur in the mosque.
