Nicely explained! No other iOS DAW offers comping, little alone the quick swiping, so really Logic for iPad is still miles ahead of the competition.

Do you think you can make a video about how to stretch an acapella without sounding smurfy? There is no good tutorial on the internet and I think you are the only one who can do it. Thank you

"sorry I don't have a great voice", then proceeds to slay the mic :)

You have a nice voice, very good vibrato.

Great clear explanation. Hope you do a lot of Logic Pro on iPad for YouTube.

I remember this lyric from a very old tutorial series of yours where a female sang the lyric. Man it was and still is an amazing tutorial series and a great track. Thank you so much as always.

Wish comping worked how it does in logic for desktop. The slice tool is a workaround for now but is cumbersome. On desktop you can just drag the takes you want without all the fuss. Also, you can 100% do crossfades and such. Look into the inspector.

Hey there - if I have the new ipad pro with the m4 chip but only 8gb of ram and 512 of storage capacity (about 1/4 of that's currently used up - maybe a bit more) can I comfortably do audiobook recordings using this ipad, to your knowledge? I'd be getting an adapter hub to plug in things like audio interface (Zoom), mic, headphones and monitor. A youtuber who convinced me this could work has 16 gb of ram and a tb of storage capacity which I didn't realize when I bought the ipad (can still return). I asked him too and in a couple of other places but don't really expect anyone to answer though appreciated your video so thought I'd ask here too. :) Thanks!

Thanks mate for this. I was just wondering, are there any specific audio interfaces that the iPad Logic Pro functions better7worse with?

Very useful! I'm thinking of switching from Cubasis. Am I right in thinking that you can both nudge and lock the various regions (the slices you created) of your takes? Not having lock regions in Cubasis is a real deal-breaker, since I run the risk of not noticing microscopic timing changes that then wreck my mix down the line.

What I’m missing is Control Surface support. I’m used to my Novation LaunchKey MK3 transport controls and faders. Not sure, but the limitations for Control Surface integration are based in iOS (not Logic). Any ideas?

Crossfades need adding for audio recording to be more efficient.

Think I may end up continuing to use Cubasis 3 for ipad. It's set just makes more sense. Plus using your own samples is much easier. Logic Pro for ipad is just not ready yet, the settings hardly has anything either. Wish you could double tap to open up a midi region to access the piano roll. It's set up has slowed down my work flow drastically. It's got the same midi bugs as the desktop version too and there's no chase midi in the project settings.

So the tools are different than the desktop logic? ….like the scissors ….that’s more like a GarageBand ….cut/split

so no you can’t “still do comping” if you gotta take it another program. That is NOT what comping in the app is, thats external smh
