Streamed live via Zoom from the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center on January 27th, 2021, the 2020-2021 Three Minute Thesis Final Competition highlighted the research and presentation style of nine exceptional doctoral competitors. The Colleges of Engineering, Science, Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, Education & Human Development, and Agriculture & Life Sciences were represented.
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition aims to bridge the gap between high-level university research and the lay public, and is a perfect opportunity for students, faculty, and staff alike to gain exposure to the innovative research being conducted by graduate and professional students. They have just three minutes and a single PowerPoint slide to summarize their research and compete in a challenge that puts their communication skills and command of an audience to the test. Also on the line is up to $1500 in prize money and the chance to secure the spot to advance as Texas A&M’s representative at the regional Three Minute Thesis Competition.
