I would like if Sam walked out of the accelerator and they couldn't find Ben because Ziggy can only lock onto Sam. Give Sam two episodes to learn Al died, talk to Beth, find out that his wife has remarried. Basically realize that though he isn't leaping, he still isn't "home". so he makes sure the new quantum leap team understands that they were successful and he thanks them but he has a one- on- one chat with ziggy, who finally used her original voice, and tells her to let him leap but to lock back onto Ben and abandon Sam forever. The quantum leap team refuses but Magic goes along with it as a final favor to Sam and Al. That could be a good 2-3 episode arc then focus back on Ben.

I enjoyed the finale and I like the direction the series is going. I think we all agree that at some point there has to be some resolution with Sam. Never making it home doesn't set well with fans. I think they need to explain how Sam has been leaping himself or not and not going home.

At first, I thought it was (well, I was hoping it was) Sam that shot Martinez in the back. Then I was hoping that he was the one coming back to headquarters at the end of the episode. I am still hopeful for that. Maybe Sam coming in and saying, "oh boy" or "ain't that a kick in the butt". Some interaction with Al's daughter about Al's death and Sam mourning. I also want to hear an interaction between Sam and Ziggy in the original Ziggy voice. Maybe the team asking Sam about Ziggy and him saying he programed her originally, and giving props to Ian for the work done to get Ziggy back online and the project started again.

The writers have a wide variety of directions they could go. It's very exciting. I loved the original series and this series has not disappointed either (except for not seeing Sam yet; Still hopeful!).

Side note: the original Quantum Leap was only 97 episodes. Maybe give Scott Bakula a 3-episode arc to get him to an even 100?

The season 2 teaser certainly shows that Ben is not in the accelerator, but if he can still get back somehow, he could now stay at HQ as the hologram and Addison could be the leaper as originally planned. That would be awesome.

Ok, I just realized. They stopped Martinez but what about the government nuking them because they don't want them messing up time? That still happens? Will season 2 be them stopping the government? Perhaps it'd be a great way to bring Scott Bakula back in. Sam leaps in, agrees to help Ben stop them from nuking them and Los Angeles.

Someone comes through the accelerator and I doubt it's Ben. Cause we know from the preview of season 2 Ben is still leaping. What If it is Sam. Scott Bakula has been very quiet lately. I'm hoping it is. Because it's Someone!

This was still a great finale episode to Season 6, which it technically is, not and they a1", it's still the same show! Also, I liked the cliffhanger at the end of the episode! Plus, they used it to hype you up for next season, which I can't wait for! It's going to be so good, and they aired the trailer for the next season right after the episode as well, it's going to a wild ride!

The last episode of the original series explained it was Sam who was leaping himself in time since the reason he created QL was to make the world a better place. What is the force that is leaping Ben now?

I had such high hopes for the new quantum I was really disappointed it lacks everything the old quantum leap has my favorite part about the old quantum leap was time travel they hardly have that

Show runner just explained Scott hasn't signed on for season 2 nor have they had contact. Bit of a bummer but he said still the door is open for Scott to return. Looks like season 2 will stand on its own again.

I’m I the only one that noticed that leaping sound before that woman shot Martinez. Since Quantum Leap was being screwy and the team couldn’t see what was going on and perhaps Ben could only see Martinez because they leaped together

Scott Bakula may think his involvement with the show is over, however so many fans want him back to appear for at least an episode or 2. What is Scott up to these days? Possibly just retirement. Shows like Smallville brought back plenty of past actors from Superman shows and movies, we are still hoping Scott might return as Sam to bring some kind of closure to the character and not that he just lost in time. Still hoping!

It was great! I think it is Addison or Sam that leaped back.

i wish Ben spent more time in the future, just to memorize a cheat code, seems a waste of ground breaking canon. all of a sudden he can get pulled before he makes a change, since when?
