With HSR getting closer & closer to v3.0 of the game, it's no wonder why we're getting more new players every day. Compared to before, there are a number of characters that used to reign at the top for any F2P player, but now? Well, more than just the meta has changed.

I'm so pissed about Rappa she came at the absolute worst time when I was saving for Aventurine. Not surprised about Bronya at all especially when using her with Booty. He's already a walking nuke she allows him to continuously nuke the hell out of the enemy

A reasonable list. Himeko only making honorable mention is a bit debatable tho. Also had me laughing at some of the background footage, but maybe that was intentional. "Aventurine has the best shields in the game, and they're permanent!" cut to Feixiao with no shield and deep red health bar. "My GOD does [Robin] do damage!" cut to her dealing 9k damage with her procs 😂

aside the part that Firefly is not even an honorable mention, specially by how good she is, and the way she synergize so well to other break units and in the future, even if her damage isn't the best, she could still be an enabler by applying fire weakness to enemies, while still being very self suficient and surprisely bulky, well, aside it the list is really good, I will probably send to my friend who just started the game and only say "he just forgot to talk about Firefly", but overall great video, and makes me happy that people are recognizing Robin to be that good, I started playing the game because of her and Firefly, started in Robin's banner and got her as my first limited 5*, some people back them told me she isn't that good and is only good to buff critical damage, now some of them are crying that lost 50-50 in her rerun, while I had her since the very start of my account, she + a single good DPS definitively adds up, she buffs just so much ATK and damage delt, I remember using her with Firefly when I only had them, Harmony TB and not really well built chars

Recommending Acheron over Firefly in a f2p scenario is crazy, I have to disagree with this one

I think Firefly is way better F2P unit and should above Acheron and around Rappa place. It's criminal she's not in the top.

Her 2nd best LC is the herta shop.
Her best support is free and RM is a unit the player should get either way, people can use March 7th as a substitute for those that don't have RM and Gallagher is great 4* that have high chance to rerun along side her.
Her weakness implants allow her to brute force most of the content.
And break DPS are way easier to build.

Acheron don't have a great F2P LC and Pela need the pearl LC or her E4 to generate stack for Acheron without her ultimate.

if you are newer to the game the list changes
1. Aventurine - basic sustains dont do the job
2. second sustain / Gala, Lingxia/
Robin, RM, FF, Feixio

HMC and M7 are free so dm.

I agree with your takes.
1) Rappa. I'm new to HSR and she's always on my team. The ability to break even when the elements don't match is perfect for a super break team.
2) Lingsha is my "Gallagher". I joined HSR too late to get Gallagher, so I don't have him but Lingsha took my account to another level. FUA and healing in one. Yes please.
3) It took me a while to understand why Harmony MC was so good, but as soon as I realized it, HMC has never left the team.

Rappa, HMC and Lingsha are always on my team and I rotate Himeko, Herta and Serval for the last spot.

Thinking about pulling for Aventurine and his LC as a F2P but it'll literally cost me everything I have. Currently, I have no good sustains which is why I was thinking of getting him. However, I don't know how strong Sunday will be so I'm in a weird dilemma where I literally don't know what to do lol. If I get Aventurine, I'll have no more pulls for any other characters for like 2 more banners at least.

I think you overlooked some characters that are easy to get and pretty useful like clara she's not the best DPS but she is very F2P friendly and can still comfortably clear content . Or Xueyi who is a little hard to build but you can get her for free . And lastly Herta which you can also get for free and is really really good in pure fiction .

as a F2P who has almost this entire list(missing Acheron, Lingsha and Aventurine though am slowly pulling on Aventurine's banner till it goes away) I can certainly say my only disagreement is not having Firefly on the list somewhere, weakness implant and being able to use the Aeon LC besides being able to be used with HMC makes her very nice for a F2P as can help you clear content you probably have no business being able to clear.

I'll never understand the notion that limited sustains are supposed to be good for f2p players and it's always content creators who aren't f2p that try to sell this idea. In a game where clear speed is everything for end game it's very expensive to invest your jades into limited sustains that provide lesser damage than dps characters ( dps needed for fast clears) in exchange for more survivability (survivability not needed for fast clears)

limited sustains are good for dolphin type players who have high invested teams and can afford any characters they want + most likely use auto play

i'll at least give you some props for only including one such character and not putting him crazily high (i've seen other content creators consider him to be the best f2p character)

i think other than that the list is good but i find that there is a lack of tingyun with bronya being so highly rated

Iyo i just started playing HSR 3 days ago, got incredibly lucky and got acheron with my first 8 pulls after the tutorial, then Clara from the begginer banner. What limited chars should i pull next? I really like Algaea design but i dont think ill have enough resources to pull for an entire remeberance team.. should i just go for firefly or fugue instead?

honestly acheron over firefly is a little insane. e0s0 acheron is VERY very sucky. there isnt a single good f2p cone for her cause gnsw and choreo are both gacha gated and you need s5 just for it to be 30% less than her sig. firefly has aeon, and her teammates consist of a very universal support, a free unit, and a 4 star (that was free) compared to acheron’s better options

Hope I can get aventurine because I just spent the few jades I had on Acheron's LC. I have to admit it wasn't my best decision as a free to play because I'm no seeing so much improvement 😭

Pela and Himeko as honourable mentions - totally agree, free plug in almost every team and free 30k in one side of PF.

Mei - L number one. Without Gaymiko - she's unplayable(sig is whatever at this point).

Skippa - L number two. Without sig - forget about comfort. Clearing content tailor made for her - not a big accomplishment, every new character does that. And in the future she will require Ting 2.0 and Fraud to function, it will be worse then Acheron situation.

Fei - whatever.

March 8 - rare lyo W. If you put TopAss here - it would be another L, for obvious reasons.

Fraud - another L. 4* who will be back in one month - isn't free, but Limited 5* who we'll not see in 6 month - totally free, yeah, brain damage check. And she's not much better in the first place, outside of PF.

Aven - whatever.

Bronya - whatever.

HMC - whatever.

RM and Robin - whatever as well.

And stop begging for likes and subs. If your content good enough - you will get them automatically. Apparently, you have alot of work to do.
