Love, Reign O'er Me by The Who REMASTERED

I searched out one of the 1st issues of QUADROPHENIA on CD, avoiding any past or current remasters to make this ... remaster. If you think about it, back when they first started transferring those analog masters to the digital realm, those tapes were already a decade old, some already going into their 20th year of existence. And the more time passes, those analog tapes will ... So those first cds that came out ... you just never know. If it was done right, not only are they a closer representation of the sound of those masters, but also an archival of recordings from the past 50 years.

A run through of "Love, Reign O'er Me", and finding Roger Daltrey in an album that was mixed for Quadrophonic sound. Keith Moon is easy to be found. Keith is everywhere.

I was TODAY years old when I discovered that Roger was singing both "rain on me" and "reign o'er me." Freakin masterpiece, this is.

The Who were masters of playing their songs as angrily and with as much emotion as possible. Then they destroyed their instruments, and as much of the sound system as possible. They were famous for their insane ritual of destroying their hotel rooms. The main characters responsible for creating this “traveling army” were Townsend and the drummer Keith Moon. This attracted violent fans to their violent concerts, and was THE reason that 6 fans were trampled to death at a Who concert one night. The ironic thing is that Townsend, who gave the appearance of being a “man’s man” on stage, was actually gay. Anyway, be careful of rock musicians and politicians: they want to ignite their spectators until they burn down the city. And what do we get from this as spectators? Zero!
