I have 21 N scale locomotives ranging from steam, transition era, and modern diesels. I have another 4 on pre-order.
Much more than I need, but each one is unique.

I love you locomotives collection, the BNSF 🎃 SD70ACe Kato is my favorite.
I haved a GE P42 Amtrak Kato locomotive.

13 N scale locomotives and 1 HO scale locomotive. 1 N scale on preorder and no guarantees when it comes to impulse buys - there's a few things I am always casually hunting for and am prepared to snag when I find one.
The N scale is a mix of Lehigh Valley/PRR, NYC, NH in early ALCO diesels and a small batch of modern Pan Am/Guilford/CSX.

For display, I am currently looking for a good case option to hang on the wall here in the office for the N scale stuff. Right now they are all in their cases in a watertight container by the layouts.

I sort of don't have an idea on how to display. Generally, when I'm done I put them back in the original box or case.

I should stop looking at model train websites. I have (in N scale) 63 running and 13 in need of major repairs or bad paint jobs I did (thirty years ago). I think I have about 50 HO scale and 5 in On30. I'm still waiting for my pre-order for my one Z scale and next year I should be getting 3 more N scale on pre-order. This hobby is so addictive. I have been trying to keep things organized by listing them on a word spreadsheet. As soon I think I got everything listed, I buy more. Yes I have 2 N scale Bachmann SD40-2 that needs to be fixed. Maybe I'll trade them in for KATO SD40-2's.😂
