What doe a typical day in a DTS Intensive look like?
Показать описание
What happens in a DTS? Kelsea gives us a brief overview as to how a day in DTS looks. Community, practicing spiritual formations and growing as Followers of Jesus in all sorts of different ways. Learn more about DTS & DTS intensive below!
DTS Intensive
The Disciple Training School Intensive is an 11-week communal missions school with one purpose: To grow with Him, to go into all the nations sharing the Good News that brings hope, healing, and changes the world.
In the wake of the uncertainty of the COVID-19 world we live in, we have re-shaped the traditional DTS program into a 3-month form. The DTS Intensive is a a modified version of a classic YWAM DTS. We have condensed aspects from outreach phase & lecture phase into one 11-week intensive. With the uncertainty of how COVID-19 will continually affect both global travel and the nations we go to, it is quite challenging to run a DTS in the traditional sense.
TRAINING & OUTREACH TOGETHER
Unlike traditional DTS programs that have 12 weeks of lecture and 8 weeks of outreach, we are running Outreach and Training side by side over the course of five 2-week modules. Each module reflects 1 week of a traditional DTS outreach and 1 week of traditional DTS lecture. In pairing Training and Outreach, we aim to give participants opportunities for immediate practical application of the content they are learning. Outreach activities will happen in Nuremberg through both YWAM and non-YWAM ministries reaching out both locally and globally!
The training content will follow the traditional DTS curriculum but be delivered in powerful new ways so that the DTS Intensive remains flexible around an ever changing COVID-19 world. Content will primarily be delivered in these various means: live in-person teaching, pre-recorded sessions, and the very occasional live Zoom call (hours of Zoom teaching is the last thing anyone wants to be part of). All communal prayer times, worship times, personal processing, and small groups will all happen live and with other real people!
