I started to notice a shift in my mid 30's. My symtoms were off the charts and i didn't know what was happening to me. I've been on Hrt for the past 1.5 years, along with an uptake in essential nutrients and I feel 110% better. With that said, you know your body best. Advocate for your best self ❤

Started to notice a change around 36. For awhile I was afraid it was serious. I experience hair loss, extreme fatigue, flu like symptoms(sweats, body aches) breast tenderness for more than half the month that has gotten worse now that im in my 40s. Have had so many tests that come back "normal." After a lot of research and realizing it had to be connected to my hormones, because the more extreme symptoms seem to happen a week or 2 before my period, I talked to my gynecologist. Her suggestion was birth control pill and an anti-depressant medication. Very discouraging.

I’m 41 and my PCP told me I’m too young for peri menopause and offered to prescribe me anti-anxiety meds…which has the main side effects of weight gain and lowering libido. 😫

I'm 42 and I've been going through symptoms a few years now !!! We need to bring more awareness to this !!! I was just told last week that I'm not in perimenopause?? But we started HRT ??? 🤞

Im in my late 30's. My periods have been irregular for about a year now, and have been either lighter or heavier than ever before. I'm like a bubble of anxiety lately too. Im sure i'm peri menopausal. Looking forward to the night sweats 😒

I doctor told me I am too young. I’m 40. I definitely feel a shift. I have unexplained anxiety and recently haven’t been able to sleep. I’ve had 2 hot flashes to far.
I went to a psychiatrist they prescribed me an antidepressant for the anxiety. Hope I see better days!

Mine started with crazy moods and flooding periods at 36. It followed the end of a hard 16-year relationship. I foolishly waited for marriage and children, but that never came. Finally met the man of my dreams at 38, got married at 40, and a month later my periods stopped. A year later I found out some dismal numbers hormonally speaking. However, we’re talking about embryo adoption now. I’ve learned to really focus on the fact that I am truly blessed, but a little HRT goes a long way!

My hormones went haywire in my mid 30s because my diet change from mostly vegetarian clean diet to eating fatty dairy foods and meat. After a few years of that I had trouble losing weight even on 800 calories a day. Going back to less meat and less dairy with high carb vegetables has helped but now I eat a Mediterranean French style diet with fasting so I still eat meat and dairy but its normally wild and not factory farmed and the dairy is always goat's.

@heatherhirschmd are there ongoing research studies going that need subjects that you know of? I would love to be part of the solution on getting info out there!
