I had both s21 ultra and the xiaomi mi 11 ultra. At first the mi 11 ultra took better pictures and videos. But a year of updates the s21 ultra was better in pictures and videos. My point is xiaomi phones don't age well compared to Samsung so it's best to go with Samsung

Well, all China flagships run are very loose on thermal restrictions and they let them run crazy hot. Not good at all!

They are both great. The xiaomi is little bit faster, but the samsung doesn‘t heat so much. For most people like me only watching social media both are good.

Do you think the temp issues can be resolved with software updates? I have Xiaomi 14 Pro Ti and it doesn't get hot. I was thinking of upgrading but now not sure

Xiaomi designed the heat to evaporate the vapour inside the camera lens

This won't even matter to 99% of people. Less than 1% of people will push their phones to these kinda limits..

Xiaomi should give an update and manage these thermal problems, otherwise it's far better then S24 U in charging, camera, display is 12bit with better PWM dimming unlike Samsung's 10bit no Dolby vision panel

Samsung (ONE UI) now the best UI in 2024. I mean one ui 6.1 it’s better than IOS. Samsung did really well with their ONE UI 6.1.

Samsung clearly throttled and lowered its performance in 3d mark you can clearly see that, Xiaomi just held its higher performance for the majority of the time. Xiaomi does heat up a lot it's not good for the long term I agree but no one's gonna be using 3d mark and other high performance benchmarking apps for their daily usage 😅

So in short? wht is the TLDR of th Video? The TLDR as i see it:
Xiaomi overheated and failed where Samsung kept going. maybe Samsung was going to present better results, if it had the thermal Guardian to allow hotter tempreratures. yes its 2 degrees above default, but as little as it is it is longer leash for Samsung to perform.

While do not disturb mode is on on the Xiaomi phone, why is it not on the s24 ultra? As far as I can see, Bluetooth is also on on the 24 ultra.

I shot 14 ultra videos for 10 minutes and the temperature was 46 degrees, this is not normal.

Xiaomi was 10c more cause is lowered less the cores clock than Samsung resulting in better overall performance and stability during the test

Honestly, the Xiaomi is a nicer device because it's more rounded, while the S24 Ultra is like a brick, especially since it's so flat.
