As a Cardinals fan, the reason Gorman hasn't been called up yet is that he has a 40% K rate in AAA. If he's getting struck out by AAA pitching at that high a rate, MLB pitching will eat him alive.

Going into the 2022 season, the Red Sox bullpen was a known issue. They didn't resign relievers like Ottavino and as a result, its not that surprising when the relievers/closers are blowing games (I think they lead in blown saves). That said, overall the pitching isn't as bad as it would be expected with the total pitching ERA being fairly low. But that only will work when there's run support and man, there has been little to no offense outside of a few games. I think this has a lot to do with their new hitting coach. Players are not being patient at the plate and are chasing a lot outside the zone. That's REALLY the biggest issue they have currently is plate discipline/timing. If they can turn that around, they still might be able to salvage the season and compete for a wild card slot.

From a Blue Jays Fan: Hyun-Jin Ryu has been injured for the past month. He had his first start back last Saturday (May 14) and did quite well. He went 4.2 innings giving up 1 run in 4 hits and 3 strikeouts.

1:28 O'Neill Cruz is not doing well in the minors at all, he's actually hitting .185 with an OBP barely above .300, and an OPS at .630, as well as only 3 homers in 119 ABs

Padres at 8 is a crime. Went 2 weeks without Myers and Voit. Started the first month + with no Snell or Clev. Still no Tatis. Bullpen gets big time reinforcements in a month (Baez, Morejon, Pomeranz, etc). If Tatis was back and the bullpen was healthy SD easily has 6 more wins then they already did
