On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: The Catholic Church will soon welcome 21 new cardinals. Pope Francis made the announcement on Sunday. EWTN Vatican Bureau Chief, Andreas Thonhauser, joins to tell us more about these newly named cardinals. And a recent investigation into the fetal tissue research program at the University of Pittsburgh found it followed all state and federal laws. However, pro-life lawmakers contest the findings and say paying someone to investigate yourself is not viable. Meanwhile, the EU is cutting almost 90% of Russian oil imports by the end of the year. Republican Strategist John Ullyot, shares his thoughts on that and what he thinks moved the needle, as this seemed unlikely a couple of months ago. As President Joe Biden works to control soaring inflation, Americans are not feeling confident about the direction of the economy. A new Gallup poll shows 77% of Americans think the nation's economic outlook is getting worse, while only 20% say the economy is getting better. Senior Editor at the Federalist and Cofounder of RightForge, Christopher Bedford, joins to talk more about these numbers. Finally this evening, yet another Catholic Church has suffered desecration and vandalism in Brooklyn, New York. DC Correspondent for Catholic News Agency, Katie Yoder, joins to talk more about this.
