I like that he’s embracing the Culture and still teaching his kids English. Understanding both parents cultures is important in any interracial relationship

This is pretty insane but, I actually met Menya in my early 20s while stationed in Japan in the Navy. He was a cool dude, it's good to see him doing well. I never would have thought I'd be seeing him on youtube almost a decade later.

He is a model step Dad, his wife is lucky to find a willing man to step in as a role model to these 2 kids. Not for every man but I commend him for stepping up.

I just came across your channel. I've lived in Japan for 4 yrs now. My family and I moved here from Seattle.I'm black and my wife is Japanese and we have two boys. We were a bit concerned with how they would adjust here. But so far all the children have embraced them with open arms and the people in our location have been wonderful. We live in Enoshima beach. I can say, these 4 yrs have been such a blessing. We praise God everyday for it.

I to am a fitness trainer looking to expand in Japan, and after watching this it has inspired me to press on. Thank you

Most people are not racist and bigots. They love getting to know another person of another culture. True, there is a small percentage of bigotry in the world and they seem to get all the all the attention. Your videos are awesome!

I'm from Boston Massachusetts like him and it's good to see him explore his options outside of America and build a beautiful life with a beautiful family ❤.

Ranzo, please do more Day In The Life videos. I find them fascinating to see the different things going on in a typical persons life in Tokyo. Especially black people. A good one could be black men and women working in tokyo as salaryman or woman, working in animation, or designer. So things cool and different like this one. I can't wait for the border to open back up so that I can come back for another visit. Great work Ranzo, keep it up!

I LOVE and MISS Japan... Hearing the Japanese language brings back so many fun and enjoyable memories. I lived in Misawa and Okinawa, one of the better set of years of my life. Thanks for sharing the video!

Menya looks habesha. I used to date a girl who had a brother that looked just like him 😂 he's a solid dude though. I think any country should be happy to have a person like him who contributes to the overall civility and health of the host country.

Congrats to you man. This makes me kind of emotional. In 2019 I met this Japanese girl in Charlotte NC. She was so beautiful and sweet. She moved back to Tokyo afterwords and she always wanted me to come to Tokyo with her and I was going to then the pandemic happened and threw my life into chaos in every single way possible. I lost everything man and went into a deep state of depression and stopped talking to her. We haven't talked since. It's mainly my fault because she did write me but I never responded. It's been so long she's probably moved on and doesn't care about me anymore. Idk. But yeah I think about her a lot.

Truth be told, a black man with money and good looks will be respected anywhere he goes. What comes after is how you maintain relationships and deal with attitude, yourself included. Walk the righteous path and be humble in life.
Respect must be earned.
