Bus drivers are heroes!! My bus driver remembered everyone’s before and after school clubs and activities. Needless to say, I was impressed!! 😳

I had 3 paper routes as teen. After a week it's memory. I've mowed lawns before too. 100 yards a week. After couple weeks it's memory. I could do 100 a week without having a list. I could tell you house colors, yard details, special instructions, customers names. I couldn't remember house numbers. I usually remembered street names. But I didn't need that I could just drive there and pull up to house like auto pilot

As a student who isn't on a phone constantly and just kinda stares out the window for some reason it's not hard to remember a route if you actually pay attention

There were times when the bus never showed up. Had no way to get to school. It was a long walk....
The number of time our parents had to complain was crazy.

i remember the one time our bus never came and she showed up the next day telling us that she thought there was no school so she kinda forgot to come get everyone for the whole day

My very first day of kindergarten my bus didn't come in the morning so my parents drove me to school, when i got on the bus to go home he said he didn't pick me up because he didn't know where i lived

Why do bus drivers get so mad when a kid that doesn’t go on the bus is on there’s?

growing up, the bus drivers would often have the same routes for years and be familiar with other drivers routes, so no problems knowing the area. Routes didn't change very much at all. Having a sub, OMG that was fun

I assume it’s similar to the way us lawn care guys remember our routes. As the days go by we just remember

I'm one of the sports and activity drivers for our district, but when there is nothing going on we can substitute on routes to get our hours for the week. If no subs are needed, we will actually ride along on routes (doubling as a monitor) to make sure we know them and keep up on changes. It's a good way to get familiar with the kids as well, so they already know you and you can put names to faces (especially helpful on community stops) when you eventually have to sub on their route.
