Yes, if artists agree on anything, it's that people who write ai prompts are not artists. Even when they edit it to fix the numerous mistakes, they ai prompter is only an editor and not an artist.

I feel like ai can be good for inspiration or for situations where you just need to covey a concept quickly. It's definitely used in shitty ways though.

Entering prompts into an AI algorithm is not art. Coding a database and getting consent of creators to use their art as data points can be. If it is not created by the idea of replicating anothers art but highlighting paterns and details throughout art and combinging it into a new thing can be art. But just writing a prompt is not "art." AI may have a place in certain applications but "creativity" is not it.

So to be fair I use ai music programs or picture programs cause I do have like a lot of fantasy images in my head and I cannot draw or at least I don't have the energy and enough interest to learn it so as a privat poor person who cannot afford a painting even from my Favorit artists it makes me a little bit happy seeing my ideas come to life (like characters or landscapes I thought of in my own world) and the ai helps me with tools to express myself without taking a humans time to help me draw. If anyone would ask me if I could draw I would say def not (and me not being able to draw that good leads me to admiring everyone who can). I might not me an artist in painting but i would call myself artistic. I personally don't like some modern art or some trash piles that people call art. But I think ai will never replace the human emotion and history some art pieces have (in my opinion an painting should invoke feelings in it's viewer). I think ai is like a game changer in the industry probably but yeah cannot replace human emotion.
