Our brain developed to the brain we have today, becouse our ancestors started cooking food millions of years ago, which made our digestive tract more efficient at absorving nutrients specialy from meat and gave us more fuel for the brain, also becouse of this the digestive tract got shorter which meant we save alot of energy digesting food and use that energy for the brain. So instead of wasting hours and hours eating to fuel our brain, we spend that time developing the brain by doing human things.

honestly, I feel like humans was on a relatively new evolutionary branch, it emphasizes discovery. It's probably inferior to say, hunting traits, e.g. larger eyes to hunt at night, it's really a gamble and our neighboring species lost the gamble, hence leaving only us on the branch with the ability to learn, adapt, etc
