The truth is that MCU is not at all the same after avengers endgame but it doesn't mean that it's all bad or ot can't get better. I'm still watching mcu with that hope (and the hope to see the og 6 avengers again one day).

She is absolutely right. The criticism has been excessive and drips of jealousy and anger at Marvel for other studios (making all sorts of films) haven't stepped up their game.

There's no denying that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a successful franchise, and it's only fitting that stars like Florence Pugh are joining the cause in defending it.

Even if Marvel needs critics to move on and take lessons, I'm glad MCU actors defend the brand. I still love the MCU and I'm a big fan since the beginning. Of course, Quantumania and She-Hulk was very bad, Thor 4 was very medium and The Marvels looks pretty weak. But I'm still optimistic and I hope they will fix problems. Thank you Florence for your support ! ❤️

Admittedly, the MCU is not perfect I know that, you know that, everyone knows that, there're some projects that I don't like for certain reasons, but there's so much more than that, the MCU has expanded it's universe and characters in ways on media I never thought would ever happen and a lot of it is really good and more successful than DC has ever done, I'm not saying this to hate DC but look at the years of work Kevin Feige has done

Of course she's gonna defend it, she's in the MCU, and has an upcoming project. Florence Pugh is a good actress, and she carried that Black Widow, but she deserves better, than what the MCU has given her so far.

they didnt have to go to the quantum realm, but they couldve atleast build stuff like Gunn did for his Guardians of the Galaxy films, he talked for the third about loving that they build the majority of all the set pieces to have something to go off of

….People need to realize the world has so much negativity already going on… so that’s why I love going to the movies to get me away for at least a couple hours of enjoyment in seeing a Marvel Studios or a DC film…people needs to chill and enjoy the ride 🙂🤙

"everything is not for everybody" But why is it that people loved the characters in the comic books more so than their MCU "adaptations"??

Shang Chi was a fun movie to watch, but they could've done so much more. The writing, the pacing, the direction worked together against Shang Chi himself. Heck the choreography is impressive BUT they barely edited it making this "Action Scene" not as impressive as the Winter Soldier Fight.

Why is Shang Chi not as cool as comic book Shang Chi? But they made Ironman cooler than his source material prior to the movie?

That's a pretty valid criticism coming from an Asian Man. Giving the trolls attention completely undermines and brushes off valid criticisms such as this one. ( you might think im wrong - point is that its genuine ) In the end of the day - the entire world knows that these trolls are miserable people - but the MCU doesn't get any better bc the "criticisms" don't get to the people making the films..

My problem with the MCU isnt so much the MCU in itself, but that it has strayed so far from the comics that its barely regonizable. They are using the names and designs from the comics, but not the storylines, characters and themes. It feels like Hollywood is trying to re-invent these classic characters to fit into a more modern context and it just doesnt work for me. What made these stories special is lost in translation when Hollywood takes the reigns.

Spider-Man is selfmade and not Iron-Man Junior.
Thor is a serious character. Not a comedy.
Captain Marvel was originally Captain Mar-Vel. Not Carol Danvers.
Moon Knight was a dark and twisted noir story, not Indiana Jones with a british accent.

Dont even get me started on Hulk, Taskmaster, Namor etc.

Phase 4 was a mess but The MCU is still unmatched in Comic Book Media In Film. Hope to get Florence Pugh As Abby In The Last Of Us Show.
