We review the performance of a Blouch DOM XTR1.5 on a 2018 Subaru STI RA

The fuel available is non ethanol pump 91 which is about the worst fuel for turbocharged cars. With some ethanol there would be substantial gains.

This is not a huge turbo by any means and you can see it adds a heathy margin over the stock turbo.

Tune done on our Mustang Dyno.

I've always liked the Dom 1.5, it's probably the largest stock location I would use.

Which rear housing size was used on the Dom 1.5? 7cm, 8cm or 10cm?

Would you choose this turbo over the bcp-x500r, not the +, or the FP black or green? Just curious. I’ve ordered the bcp but they are back ordered and I’m just curious on your thoughts?

What are you guys using to tune now that the Cobb AP has very strict EPA regulations on it?

Question for you, if you don’t mind. I am running a stock turbo, e85: injectors, turbo back exhaust, front mount inner cooler, oil air separator, the works and with the stock turbo I’m putting down 444 awhp. That said, I feel like going with something like the dominator/blouch would be better for the motor because it is a more efficient turbo and could make the same power levels at much cooler temps and less effort. That also said, if I wanted to make a little more power, I would have that in the bank from pushing so hard with the older less efficient turbo.
Is my thinking flawed and am I missing any down sides?

I have the Cobb stage 3 package, so everything I believe you listed off. From this I guess I'll be good to throw in the 1.5, tune her on 93? maybe some e85 if i can get ahold of it but its a daily. Don't want to go crazy but about 50-100hp range increase would be perfect on the daily I think. Stock non RA motor (2018 Sti)

kind of refreshing to know my 06 w/ TD04 and bolt ons has more hp than this 1.5xtr lol
