I recently got a really well paying job so I’m definitely going to be taking as many classes as I have time for, can’t wait.

In a just and fair world Dr. Miano would be the star with his own Netflix series and Graham Hancock would be drawing unemployment...

Can we expect an analysis of the veracity of the claims made in the "What have the Roman's Ever Done For Us?" Bit?

This sounds fantastic & the timing is perfect for me! I look forward to interacting with you & others in the class.

There are so many classes I’d love to take but they HAVE to be live & interactive for me to fully benefit from them. Sounds like a great setup you have.

The public education I received at a small school largely failed. When I finished high school in 1972 it was like a dark descending shroud finally settling into place. I need to learn how to learn.

While I knew you to be a university professor, I was unaware that you present courses online. This sounds like a fun course (I'm a Roman history buff).

This sounds fantastic just like your previous course. I think it's excellent that you are providing this for a much more affordable cost than a normal college course and I don't think the price is unjust or exploitative. But just like the other course I simply cannot afford it, but I am still envious of those who can. I hope it goes well and best of luck!!

OMG I wish I could afford a $250 course. I’m gonna have to stick to just rummaging YouTube and rewatching your Myths playlist. I love watching those videos and falling asleep to them. Truly can’t afford to spend $250 though. I have a child and bills.

The thunderstorm generator is about to be part of your cars. Sacred Geometry for the win!

very neat.
Do you still work as a professor still?
Are there any other people that you have heard of or recommend that do something similar?
I've been enjoying yer channel for a while now. Keep it up.

Sounds amazing, most docs on Rome don't address the pre republic or origins of the Roman Empire

No way I’d have time for this but it sounds great, wish I could do it.

Could you please do the same thing for the Persian empire, the Achaemenid era and onwards?

Just a point to ponder. The Romans rose to greatness for basically the same reason as we exist and why our own present culture exists = _"evolution."_ As I sometimes state human civilization is not unlike a brick wall whereby newer cultures take what older ones did and believed and adapt it for their own use. This can provide the impetus for the rise of cohesive cultures around central animating principles and technologies.

Moral: the Romans followed the Etruscans - much as the Maya followed the Olmec. If you read _De Re Miltari_ from Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus you will see how to organize the Roman Army early in the Republic the Romans looked = to others. So they took what worked from the Greeks or the Spartans et al and they adapted that to make it more effective and shaped their military doctrine based upon that.

As an aside. One saw eventual complacency creep into Roman culture following centuries of success. Towards the end of the Empire the Romans no longer held beliefs of _"for the good of the Empire"_ to instead be increasingly self-absorbed. Rather than dedicating themselves to service to society to engage in military service the Roman Army began to more and more contain paid mercenary/auxiliary forces which proved to be unreliable.

Hence this does not mean they were not themselves unique and subsequently developed of their own accord. Merely that we see over and over again in history a pattern of someone develops a thing someone else begins to improve upon that which is improved yet again by = until we end up with a vastly improved and more capable technology or societal organization based upon the past and subsequent improvements. Just something to consider. Enjoy your day folks.

I need to get new glasses. When I first looked at the title of this video, I thought it said "Rise of the Romulans".
