Step 2. Setup camera with calibration pattern - Petiole Leaf Area

Calibration of a camera for Leaf Area Measurement is not a complicated process, if you use mobile application Petiole. However, sometimes you may have issues on this stage of measuring area of leaves.

That's why to make this step more clear, you can do the following:
1) launch Petiole Leaf are
2) press "Setup Camera" on the screen of the smartphone;
3) place the smartphone on the height - it can be a box, a couple of thick books or any smartphone holder (like "lazy arm");
4) to place the calibration pad below, in front of your camera;
5) you'll see the flashing read square in the centre of the screen. Camera is calibrated automatically and the colour of the square turns to green;
6) hit the green button "Setup" on the screen of your smartphone;
7) you will see the text "Calibration completed! Enjoy your measurements :)" and the button "Continue" below this text;
8) hit the button "Continue", take the calibration pad and put a leaf instead below the camera.
