RTÉ News reports on the death of Swedish football player and manager Sven-Göran Eriksson, best remembered for his tenure as manager of the England national team between 2001 and 2006, during which he guided The Three Lions to the quarter finals of both the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups. Eriksson's death, aged 76, following a battle with pancreatic cancer, came just three days after the release of an Amazon Prime documentary about his cancer battle, entitled "Sven". The documentary ends with Erkisson bidding an emotional farewell by telling viewers, "Don’t be sorry, smile".
