I’ve been watching your tutorials since you first started. YOU ARE THE BEST TEACHER. You don’t talk down to anyone, you don’t talk too fast you don’t talk to slow you give examples were necessary. For those of us with some experience, we can follow along. For those with no experience, we can follow along because you’re taking the time to be a good teacher. Thanks for all the effort you put into these, the people who are subscribers are grateful. congratulations on some great work!

when I make my aprons I add a loop to hang one of these on. I make a couple to match the apron, so I can change to clean hand towels.

Your tutorials have helped me from binding a quilt, making a "burrito" pillow to these tea towels that my daughter wants me to make her. Your instructions are spot on. Thank you, can't wait to make a couple !

Vanessa, I really enjoy your videos. You enunciate clearly, you are upbeat and give very clear instructions with enough time to absorb each step.

This is a great tutorial! Thank you for demonstrating the button hole foot -- I have a babylock machine but just haven't done button holes on it yet! I'm sure the Brother machines and others with this type of foot work similarly, so thank you for a clear demo!
This is a great beginner project -- gathering is an essential skill to know! Maybe I could help my granddaughter make one for her mom!

if you are planning on giving this to someone who is elderly or has arthritis, buttons are the bane of our existence. It is a little more expensive, but the magnetic snaps that can be sewn in work great or even sew in a piece of velcro ( i prefer the magnets as they don't get messy like velcro eventually will. But it is less expensive.), and you can always sew on a decorative button if you want. also i wouldn't cut your tea towel in half. tea towels are thin, and fairly inexpensive. when you cut it in half it makes it look cheap. by just putting your basting stitch on the center line you will end up with a fuller looking hanging towel. or you can simply lay it flat then fold it into thirds the width of the topper. then fold in 1/2. no gathering involved. this will give you a very neat and tidy appearance. this is nice for towels with writing on it that you want people to see.

I know that this is an old video but I just love the way you explain everything. I have a buttonhole gadget that came with my sewing machine. Being new to this craft you made the button hole gadget so much easier to understand. Thank you. I like to follow your videos. So detailed and always with a smile.
