LIVE from White House: Harris & Trump Hit Swing States on Election Eve | Vantage with Palki Sharma
The 2024 US presidential elections will draw to a close on November 5, which is the last day of voting. More than 77 million Americans have already voted via early voting. In 2020, the Democrats dominated the field of early voting and Donald Trump clearly opposed it. However, the 2024 presidential race saw a change in Trump's stance and now he is supporting it. Around 38% of early voting has been done by Democrats and Republicans stand at 36.2%. The gap is narrow and the same goes for the opinion polls. Kamala Harris has a narrow lead over Trump in the national polls, however, the election result will be majorly determined by the seven swing states. Both Harris and Trump are campaigning hard in the swing states. In Michigan, Harris appealed to the Arab Americans by vowing to end the Gaza conflict, if elected. On the other hand, Trump held rallies in North Carolina and Georgia. His campaign is centred around a simple rhetoric that America is a broken country and only he can fix it. The former President also slammed opinion polls that projected Harris' lead over Trump, calling it "fake news". On Vantage tonight, Palki Sharma tells you more.
