My $40 Casio Duro is simultaneously a dive watch, a beater and a dress watch 😅

Great list. I have all five. My problem is i should have stopped there.

Don't forget the rule No. 1:
Every collector needs an everyday reminder that he/she has mental issues.

I can doggy paddle 20 feet across in a 5 ft deep pool and I look great doing it with my dive watch on. 💪

Buy what you like. Not what other people tell you to buy.

I wish I still had the ae1200 that my mother gave me. Wore that for 15 years and never changed the battery. Absolutely no idea where it ended up but I wouldn't be surprised if its still running.

Unfortunately our house was broken into a couple of weeks ago. Lost my diver (glycine combat sub), my beater (pro diver), my memory watch (vintage Silvana incabloc) and most of my Casios (ae1200, ae1500, c53w) and many more 😢 Guess I’ll have to start over again. Luckily no harm done other than stuff, but still. Cheers, I’ll still watch your videos 💪🏼⌚️

My memory watch is a Timex with a hand-wind mechanical movement and Snoopy on the dial from when I was a kid. It now resides on my 4yo nephew's wrist. Last I saw it was 35+ years ago. I'm glad he's enjoying it.

I suggest 2 more options.
No. 6 A pilot watch. A & B types.
No. 7 A field military Watch.

As for previews five categories I have:
1. Dive Watch : Casio Marlin Duro with
Blue Dial & Bezel.
2. Dress Watch: Orient Bambino.
3. Chronograph Watch : Pagani Design
PD1644.
4. Beater Watch : Casio TRT -110H.
5. Memory is my wedding watch.
Casio Waveceptor WVQ-200H
with a white dial.

Jody, I can relate to all what you said here. And I, too, can neither swim a stroke, tread water, nor float; but I'd never give up my dive watches because they look great! Guess that makes me a poser. So what.
My "memory" watch is an old 10k gold mechanical Bulova Sea King, paid with my own $50 in 1970 for my High School graduation. Would never give up that one, either. Practically a summer's wages for this farmer's boy; I kid you not.

I've got a memory dive chronograph on a NATO strap. Love it and wear all the time.

Diver: Invicta Pro Diver

Dress Watch: Citizen Pro Master GMT

Chrono: don't currently have one, but my Casio A-500 fills in nicely.

Beater: Two actually. A G-Shock and a Mark Alexander Rolex look-alike

Memory: don't really have one of these either, but the G-Shock was a Christmas present, so it covers the sentimental role.

Dive Watch: Steeldive 1970
Dress Watch: Rotary Canterbury
Chronograph: Tissot Seastar
Beater: Casio W-86
Memory: A 1970s Timex my dad had as a kid

Jody I would love to see re-reviews of old "classic" or pretty famous watches on shorts as it looks like you're starting shorts.

Maybe like here's the zelos xyz from 2018, here's how the bronze has aged. Or something like, does the skx make sense now?

I’m almost there.
- Dive watch: Orient Kamasu blue
- Dress Watch: My dads old gold citizen dress on a leather strap
- Chronograph: Seagull 1963
- Digital: Casio F91W
- Memory Watch: that same citizen that I use as my dress watch

I only desire two more watches for my collection, a $100 G shock and a nicer dress watch and I’m good to go for the foreseeable future

Many thanks! LOVE the idea of a memory watch! Wish I had one... my dad's old watch was taken when burglars got into my mom's house decades ago (along with his class ring from the Naval Academy). And the dive watch I got at around 12 years old (a VERY long time ago) is long gone.

A dive watch can cover four of these categories - as you said, James Bond wears one! That covers dive, beater, dress, and memory watch. That's why I wear my divers so much!

my latest Dive Watch arrived today, all the way from Sydney to Fife in Scotland. Yes you guessed it, an Erebus Origin. Jody, it’s magnificent. Well done 10/10
