Greek Fish Tavernas on the Island of Thassos and on the Mainland

This video shows three typical Greek fish tavernas: Georgia's in Keramoti, a small town where you catch the ferry to the island of Thasdos, Limani in Limenaria on the island of Thassos, and Klimataria again on Thassos, on the main road just out of Potos. I have frequently had meals in all three and know the owners personally. The food is fabulous and the service is unique. I hope you can see the genuine hospitality and the nice ways these people have to make their guests feel at home. It is still very typical to be shown the fishes on offer and to discuss them with the owner personally. It is not uncommon that taverna owners have artistic interests as is the case of the two brothers who own the Limani in Limenaria. Besides Nikola's artistic work, the brothers also sometimes play and sing traditional Greek music.
