As a cop and from what you described about this game, it seems super realistic in terms of officer management. You got the lazy cops, some who cant work together for whatever reason, some who are taser happy, etc. Even though you gave this game a mediocre review I think I'll buy this haha.

I really enjoyed the first game but I kind of felt it went on a bit too long! I feel like there is a point in your life where you want games to be shorter and not longer... and I've reached it 😂Papa, am I a man now?

FOR ANYONE WHO READS THIS, this version of the game on Switch still has game breaking bugs. When I beat the game, my save file got corrupted. For whatever reason, the d-pad on this one particular game just does not work. Im assuming they made an error or oversight in coding. DOWN on the D-pad works, but left/right and up do not. When you do assault missions, there is an option in the menu to restart the mission. However, the game does not allow you to select it and press it so you can only restart the mission if all your cops die. There's a particularly nasty bug where after you do an assault Down is the ONLY movement option on the menu that works for anything. The D-Pad AS WELL as the right and left sticks just will not respond to anything. My controller is not broken, the game just will not respond to the controls during these very specific moments. And locking your control stick is a big problem because you need to assign officers for the next shift after you clear an assault.

Overall this port is a disaster. Im mixed on the actual game overall, but Switch version has been broken for years.

I get that simulation games have to be just that, simulations. Put annoying obstacles in your way to simulate real life. But where the chain breaks for me, is when you incorporate that characters will flat out ignore your order or go do something else when you are counting on them. I like strategy games where I have to take everyones strengths and weaknesses into account, but I also need the game to be consistent and reliable, if I send a cop into battle and I command him to shoot when I push the A button, then I fucking bloody expect him to do as I say. If characters will randomly flat out ignore you, then you don't know what you conretely have to work with, you lose control... and that is the moment where it stops being a game for me. In a game you need at least some degree of control, you need to know that A will activate when you push A, and B will activate when you push B. In my opinion, a game still needs to be fun above all else, and we DO reach a point where our games become too realistic and it goes from annoyance to outright tedium.

....phew....that was only supposed to have been 2 lines xD
