Just buying a sub 20k phone every 2 years works for me, instead of buying a 60 k phone and trying to make it last 4-5 years. Came from Lenovo K5 note to Poco X3. I don't care much about the camera and Apps work good enough for my use.

My grandmother had been using a OnePlus one since 2013, we decided to finally get her a new phone this year despite she constantly saying that she doesn't need a new phone( she doesn't like switching her phones because then its new stuff she has to learn), so we decided to get her an iPhone SE so that she can use it for longer than she used her OnePlus one and if her phone still runs smoothly and gets regular security updates for a long time, we won't feel the need to get her a new phone. She loves her new iPhone SE, she says she enjoys the small size and weight because the OnePlus one was much bigger and heavier.

Bro i have a suggestion can you try running the same model phones with the original os which they came with . Without any new updates so we could know if the updates have made the phones faster or slower since it would be new OS on old hardware

Hi Ash. I think a practical comparision would have been better. People don't use a phone for more than 4 years (even if its an iphone). So, a comparision between S8 and iphone 8 series would have been ideal I believe.

A really great video Ash that deserved to be made, the 5s joke whether it was a mistake or intentional act, it was fun nonetheless. However I was thinking rather than doing a speedtest could you maybe use both phones as your primary for a week and then let us know which one is more relevant in today's world, which has slowed down or has poorer battery life and so on, software glitches etc, a more comprehensive answer to the debate of longevity of phones. Do let me know what you feel, cheers man.
