Sales Clerk: Jacket. Okay, what colour are you looking for?

Sales Clerk: Black. Okay, and what size are you looking for?
Customer: Medium. I’m looking for a medium.
Sales Clerk: Medium. Alright. A black jacket in medium. Here you are.
Customer: Oh, that’s nice.

This is helpful! But... what is size 36? When I buy shoes it's always a lower number. For instance you might take 7, 8 or 9. What is 36 in that system? Thanks! Rachel.
