Spot on. This guy hits the nail on the head. Cricket is a post colonial local game. A minority, if not a non-sport throughout the world. In similar fashion we have superstars in Bollywood which is also a local phenomenon. It has no presence in rest of world. Only the asian diaspora outside India watches Bollywood. Same for cricket.

Cricket is not just a post colonial game. It requires infrastructure, it requires skills on so many levels. The only game where the pitch plays a major role in what skills you need to possess. It's a game that is being played by more than 60 nations but since they are not able to perform well they are termed as associate nations.
