I really want to like Fusion360 Electronics, but It feels too clumsy to use, yeah, eagle is not the best thing ever, but It's easy and to the point (or at least, up until the cloud libraries thing). You say you make things more convenient for as a end user that has been paying for YEARS I feel everything is now more complicated and cumbersome to use, all that without forgetting that the subscription is more expensive each year, guys I REALLY want to like it, but you are making it difficult

Next video: why you should migrate from Eagle to KiCad

Came here to say the same as @DoTheDiy ... need to archive the tool with the project for long-term future access. But also sick of repeatedly paying for the same thing I already bought, and tied/forced into your "upgrade" schedule so have to accept newer bugs/crashes that I already took time to find workarounds for. And it's *much* slower than my previous standalone Eagle, so frustrating. I've already given up, gone back to older Eagle standalone, and now that KiCad is quite mature (CERN uses it, right), it's time to make that switch.

there is nothing new except the polygon pour feature, why should I migrate ?

For integrated design, this is a no brainer. KiCAD is fine, but managing the mechanical design in separate software is awful.
I design a a multi-board schematic, layout, complex mechanicals, 5 axis CNC programming, simulation, rendering, and animation all the time. I wouldn't bother with a stand-alone solution if you paid me.

The first year or so of Fusion Electronics was rather useless, but it has grown up enough to be used for commercial projects. If you are a DIY hobbyist that only wants a free solution, there are options for you. For those that need to develop a complete product with mixed discipline engineering and an easy path to manufacturing - F360 is a great value.

I moved to KiCAD when they released 6.0. I have never been happier. These recent changes solidify that decision.

I have used EAGLE for ~20 years and now just spent a week trying to migrate a larger projects from EAGLE - i am nowhere close to a working state. I have tried this a few times in the past and always stopped it in the end as I ran out of time or patience. This time around, I have to succeed - I was hopeful as my last attempt has been a while ago. Functionality is fine. Usability is quite a bit worse than EAGLE for my applications, and that is mainly due to intransparent workflows and links between files, lack of good documentation and context sensitive help, an overall unreliable application (unexplained crashes, loss of sync for no reason, ...). And please kindly save everyone the time for the "all this and more with Fusion..." tag line at the end of every video for us poor souls that have to watch dozens of these to find the information required. What the users migrating from EAGLE need is not to see how a blank new project is created - it's simple and we know that works. But many of us don't spend their days creating new projects. In the long run, it is much more important to support efficient maintenance work flows on designs and libraries, maintaining different versions, etc. Most of this seems terribly complicated, with quite a bit of value lost vs EAGLE in some places (from simple things as why can i not import my EAGLE shortcut key settings? why are some key combinations blocked? to the more annoying and more important such as that everything maintenance engineering wise seems to take more time and some things are more complicated... worst I find that things sometimes don't work and you think you did something wrong but then when you restart (or just after some time for no apparent reason) they all of a sudden work. Oh the joy... :)

I recently discovered Fusion 360 went from 60/month to 70/month. Can't wait to migrate off of it.

This will not happen I will migrate to kicad. We need perpetual licence for design so after 10 years if I want I can open the design and inspect it. I do not find f360 design easy for someone coming from eagle. I will save my money and time and invest in learning Kicad instead of f360

I really want to like Fusion 360, but I just can’t get past the user interface, it is awful, feels very cramped.
