I love the Q&A after a Workshop Wednesday episode. A longer video instead of a 60 second short would be very popular with viewers I think...

Glad to see it'll be a "runner". I support using non-authentic engines both to reduce cost and to preserve the original engines. My preference would be for an engine with similar power, and similar sound, to the original, whenever possible...But anything is better than nothing!

Beau is the beast! It’s not meant to detract from anyone else but at my age he’s like a kid on the way up!

Beau did a fantastic job on all the brackets.
As he does on all the work like the rest of the team
The cat engine will run just fine in the stug.
Guys you all do a fantastic job. At Aus Armor. 💂🏼‍♂️💂🏼‍♂️

I really enjoy these QandA’s he’s so knowledgeable. Also we need that baby Stug on top of the finished restoration now too 😂

I loved all the “ahh!” Sounds in this week’s vid. Really adds a layer of relatability to the videos.

"Yep" proceeds to put baby stug on top of big stug.

Going with a reliable diesel engine is fantastic compared to no engine at all. Love these quick Q&As.

I just love the fact that a caterpillar is powering a stug

For MIG on stainless its best to used pulsed spray transfer as well as proper pre, concurrent, and post heat treatment. Stick still needs that heat treating but generally has a wider and deeper penetration profile compared to wire feed. Dual shield flux core also has the deep penetration profile of stick but stainless flux wire plus the gas gets really expensive for small operations especially as the chrome content goes up.

Who doesn’t love a Stug 3? Especially with a long barrel? Cool short Video, 👍👊🎃.

that answers the question on originality, drive trains and engines can replace the modern ones if they can be supplied complete in reliable service condition at a viable price. it's just a case of those supplies aren't out there, few originals available are incomplete and prohibitively expensive, so is there anyone out there restoring and manufacturing replica maybachs? wonder if there's a market for such engines for restored vehicle and collectors alike?

Great idea with the cat engine. More important to keep it reliable.

You should start putting model tanks on every tank like it’s their babies (I’m saying this because I like models and tanks)

Preheat post heat may solve the cracking of the welds
