HALINA, HESUS!

This popular liturgical song was written by Fr. Rene Javellana, SJ, and composed by Fr. Eduardo Hontiveros, SJ. It is approrpriately sung as an ENTRANCE SONG during the SEASON OF ADVENT. Rendering this version is the SJ Tañong Chorale. The original video of the Mass is based from the former Sunday TV Mass segment on Channel 5 "Humayo't Ihayag: Sunday Mass on TV 5".

Advent prepares us for the coming of Christ in his Incarnation, which we celebrate every Christmas, and in the final revelation at the end of the world during the Parousia. The Church cries out "Marana tha" as a prayer that the Lord Jesus comes into our lives, and that we make his presence felt in other people and the rest of creation.
