How I landed an internship after completing the UX Google Certificate

After completing the certificate, I created case studies and a portfolio.
I have no experience in the UX field other than the projects I completed after the course.

I'm self teaching UX Design and was actually considering the Google course because bootcamps are really expensive here in Toronto. I have a friend that took the course too and his con was that the course basically teaches you the "Google" way of doing things in which they do things a bit differently compared to industry standards. Have you come across this or heard this as well?

Can you please answer this question whenever you have time "I am in my 2nd course in the UX Google Design Certificate Program, I am curious that in further courses. Will they teach UI Design principles and Figma or Adobe XD? or should I take a different course to learn all of this UI related Stuff?" I don't want to waste my time until this is finished. So If I know before hand that I will not get to learn any UI stuff I will start on that right now and side by side complete google ux course too.
