UPDATE: The point of this video isn't to say we don't have answers to these questions already, it's to ask: "Why are these answers so hard to find?" - I understand that a lot of the questions in this video have been answered in interviews and devblogs over the last year or so, but I would like to see an official FAQ page answering these questions so that new players don't need to dig for the information. Something as simple as the cost of the game should be easily found on their website and channels, so I hope they update that!

I was pumped for this game until I saw it was made by net ease and has an ios (mobile game) versions. This scares the crap out of me that it will be Diablo immortal with guns where it is all about the $$$$. I was hyped for this when I saw it at first but since learning about the company I am scared for the monetization.

Unless there is dedicated / private servers, the 6 week wipe will be a deal breaker for me. I'm sure I'll play through it once but when that first wipe hits I'm out.

only thing i want they to change is > Profanity Filter on/off < so annoying when you try to type in chat and they blocks and then whole chat window bugged.

As someone who played all beta’s to-date…

All player power being locked to gambling mechanics is just stupid. They were told now through 3 beta’s (since 1 was open grinding), that the machine needs to go.

There is only so much you can do until you hit the weekly wall, and just stop signing in, because you’re not allowed to play how you want and are the mercy of a stupid slot machine.

One thing for endgame I think they should heavily consider is unique, dynamic PVP events. When it comes to endgame it's only ever really people who engage in PVP that it affects the most, and taking some inspiration from games like DayZ and Rust with their dynamic events like heli crashes, KOTH etc would be a good way to keep PVP flowing. Have rosetta convoys roam parts of the map that are in perma PVP areas, or have a resource plane crash at random parts of the map that people, groups and clans can fight over. It doesn't matter what you do, not having dynamic ways for endgame players to do things is just going to kill the game every 2 weeks after wipe until the next wipe cycle. And simply adding in a few new quests isn't going to cut it as teams will just speedrun through those quests and be back where they started, bored.

Game looks really cool. Reminds me a little of Secret World in that it has a unique sci fi/horror feel. I loved that game back in the day. Hope they figure out how to make money without ruining the experience.

As someone who's been playing in CBT3 and the demo - fair assessment of the current situation and concerns. I do agree with you on everything you said in the video.

I hope they make a separate non-wipe server and wipe server.

Great video, good points. My biggest gripe that I let them know whenever I could during CBT2 and 3:

1. Too easy. Mobs are easy to conquer, some of the "Elite" enemies are so beautifully designed, and I found when playing with friends, they're melted down so fast you don't even get to appreciate their abilities

2. Level 45-50 grind felt tedious. I think we'll lose a lot of players here, into end game. It would have been great to see them implement a late-game character skill tree or more incentives. We have a short attention span in North America lol.

Do you think they gonna update the diff between the PVP and PVE server's wiki page on their site?
Cause based on that article, the PVP server will be server-wide pvp, a chaos player can attack anyone of level 10 and above they want. and also there is a possibility of having trolls issues in teams, where suddenly one player in team turns into a chaos player and then automatically leaves the team and then team kills their teammates during an important mission. it is possible.

EDIT - GAME HAS PAY TO WIN ELEMENTS AFTER ALL. I WAS WRONG.

This was a very disingenuous video which is even worse when you realise someone in the CC program made it. Wow. I'm gonna try to correct your points as best I can. I don't expect you to read this comment in full anyway as people that like to generate views from fear mongering and misinformation don't like to be proven wrong but I hope a viewer might read it to get a better understanding of the game than you provided.

Regarding the map. You are correct that when the full map is released we should expect new interesting stuff. However, people are complaining that the map is too small because they assume the map in demo is the map we get at launch. What you fail to mention is that we are getting the full map on release. In the newest trailer you can see areas in the video, like the snow area, that were not accessible in the betas or demo. This implies we are getting the full map on launch.

Regarding seasons. Yes, wipes are a terrible mechanic in MMOs but I hope they have something really interesting planned to make it a fun mechanic rather than a bad one. However, people using the Eternaland argument are being dumb. People that play MMOs tend to enjoy the shared open world. Seeing other players running around, seeing other players bases. Eternaland is like a private Minecraft server, it's not an MMO so saying that it makes up for the gap between seasons is a very bad argument to make. Having a search feature for custom worlds and stuff just turns the game into Roblox, really bad argument.

Regarding the bugs. You are again correct in your statement that every game ever created in existence has bugs, that is very fair. However, what you don't mention is the build we are using in the demo is an early CBT 3 build. Gingerbread House deviant was removed from PvE servers in CBT 3 but it's back on PvE in demo because the demo is an early CBT 3 build. This means the bugs we are dealing with, some were already patched during CBT 3 and the rest are likely already fixed or being fixed for the full release build.

Now the important stuff, your disingenuous ''concerns''. As someone that's in the CC program, you should already be fully aware of everything you have concerns about. I am not in the CC program and I know the answers to literally all your ''concerns'' because the information is there, you just need to look for it for more than 10 seconds.

Regarding the IAP test. Yes, people get to keep their progress but who cares? For starters, it's PvE servers only that get it, so having a head start on a PvE server means NOTHING. Also, with the way Phases work, the early testers will be locked in Phase 1 for the IAP test and when the game fully releases, we will remain in Phase 1 for an additional 1 or 2 weeks. So while we may be level 50, our gear is capped at T3 which normal launch players can achieve in a single day of playing. Not a big deal, get over it.

Regarding the store being tied to progress. This is not the case. We already know this is not the case for multiple reasons.
A - Devs have stated time and time and time again that the ONLY things you can buy, are cosmetic in nature.
B - The Chinese version of the game had the ingame shop active. You can see it in videos on Billibilli and Youtube. The shop has NOTHING that helps you progress through the game.
C - Battle Passes level up as you play so the only potential argument regarding progress can be tied to that. The Battle Pass however, has no progress items tied to it either.

Regarding NetEase. You say they have a bad track record with P2W but then fail to produce any examples or evidence of them having a bad track record. Further fuelling the fire of P2W concerns with 0 evidence. You then show an example of a mobile game with ''predatory practices'' that Netease didn't even make so is completely irrelevant to the argument at hand.

Regarding P2W in general. The devs stated countless times it won't be P2W and during SGF explicitly stated, yet again ''Pay to Win has NO place in Once Human''. They also stated previously that they want to win Game of the Year and that they know they won't be eligible for the award if the game has P2W mechanics. Telling your viewers you can't find that confirmation anywhere officially is a blatant lie, you just refused to look for it.

Regarding F2P. ''We've HEARD that the game will be F2P but can't find confirmation anywhere official''. They have stated on their YouTube countless times that Once Human is F2P, that is official. If you type it into Steam, it is listed as FREE.

Regarding their monetisation. They've already said, again, that the monetisation will be solely cosmetics. And as I stated above, the Chinese version had the store active and you can see that they are selling weapon skins, armour skins, vehicles skins, building skins, Battle Pass contains the same. They also have tickets you can buy to change your character name and appearance. Again, all cosmetic in nature, nothing that changes how the game plays or gives anyone an advantage over someone else.

Regarding Endgame. You are stating what the betas have as end game despite having less than half the content in the game available to us during them. We cannot comment on end game activities as we haven't experienced them. We also know they intend to add leaderboards for Prime Wars as you can see it in the Warband tab. They had this during CBT 2 but removed it for CBT 3 but the tooltips still talk about it so it will be coming back. You also mention Starchrom farming but again, if you paid attention to the videos and the feedback forms, you'd know that they are looking to add blueprint fragments to silos, bosses and Prime Wars so that you can grind them to get better gear over time. So end game will likely be farming silos, bosses and prime wars both for blue prints and leaderboard competing. But ultimately nobody knows because we haven't had end game yet.

As a Content Creator in the program, you should know better and do better than spreading misinformation. I saw you reply to someone saying that your main issue was communication and on this I can agree with you. However, being a Chinese game, Chinese devs are known for being super secretive with everything until it's actually released. You should expect a massive blog post on release or the day before release, breaking down patches as well as listing MTX for the game. China does not conform with Western games and how they operate and we need to accept that. Some cry baby gamers will not over turn the CCP.

Now ultimately, all of this can change but it could change for the better OR worse. Only time will tell. So instead of speculating on negative aspects, how about focusing on what we DO know is happening based on the videos they've released and the videos from the Chinese players that showcase the Battle Pass and other shop items.

Do better.

Oh boy, I sure hope they don't include the predatory practice from literally Every game SCAMEASE has their grubby, greedy fingers in.

I believe the Demo was a modified version of an early CBT3 build. I know at least the Z-C to Space-C change to fly mode was made during CBT3 but was not present in the demo.

1) Map concerns is just crazy to me, I only played the Demo but it was a lot of area to explore. 2) Bugs? Every game has bugs and my demo experience there was very little. 3) Translation issues for sure need to be addressed cause it caused some confusion when I was playing. 4) IAP carry over is not that big of deal as it is only for PVE servers, a lot of company do early release if preorder stuff, they just did it in a different aspect. 5) I really hope they don't do any P2W, too many games i've thoroughly enjoyed ended up being some type (even if minor) P2W and I lost interest in them. 6) I agree with methods of getting Starchrom. I know very few ways of obtaining it and the one I havent been able to test nor do I really want to do, is those chaos thing that trigger PVP.

I have no clue about programming, bug fixing and such (I can build a PC but I'm useless when it comes to the rest)
So is it possible that they have a version (let's say the version they will use at release) and are fixing it all on that one while letting us play the Beta and Demo to find other issues but without fixing/debugging on said Beta/Demo?

hey everyone i have a question. I only had about 9 hours in the game but i have some conserns.... The enmeys in the game blank... or dumb. Does the game ever feel like the enemy's aren't stupid? they were also extremely easy

I don't get it, I thought it was a survival crafting game like Rust? It's not hard to make your own fun in those, why does this have some kind of gacha system?

I am sad, haven't been looking forward to a game release in years. Even thought I have played beta and demo, I just found out a few days ago about the wipe 😞

As someone just jumping into the game, I think my only real concern would be wipes. As someone that would focus on PvE side of things, I don't see the point of wiping those world as it really would not have any impact except tiring out non PvP players. I may of mis understood the wipe plans and be happy to be corrected.
