That’s a good quality speaker and you’ve demonstrated it is worth others to investigate the repair and save more equipment from ending up in the trash. Many thx Alex 😀👍

Can confirm this IC seems to have brought a customers Bose sound bar back from the dead! I advise no one to attempt this repair unless you have experience with surface mount components as this is a very challenging part to properly flow without the right equipment. You made this look so much easier than it really is because getting enough heat with just a small reflow station to flow the chip is difficult without pre-heating the board, this is a well done video!

This was a great video and the owner did a great job sending it in. It's not always about the money its about the knowledge to help others across the world. More than happy to see different items like this!

I love the laugh every time you fix something.
Shows you genuinely enjoy what you do.
Wish I could have that, maybe one day.

Middle finger to Bose? Right to repair is very important.
Plus you have a guide what could be wrong and it is worth gold. Great job!

I would honestly like you to continue and provide repairs to devices that might not be economical for you the repair. This gives an opportunity to see how you would tackle an issue but also keep the landfill empty for someone like me that's into DIY, for something stupid like replacing a voltage regulator. Your use of the thermal camera, which you show in many previous videos, really shows it's value. It seems like the customer is willing to pay for the repair, but if not I would hope you would be willing to supplement your equipment orders with videos like this. Keep up the great work Alex.

Another device saved from the landfill! Well done, it's nice to see different devices! This fix may not be the fix for all the broken speakers of this type but it's possible the chip is a bad batch.

Hello, I had a Bose L2 PA system that was inop due to the power supply. I found a couple rectifier diodes shorted and proceeded to replace them. I immediately realized that the Bose electronics was not designed to be repaired. As careful as I could be to not damage the board, the traces and barrels couldn’t stand what I was doing. I am a retired Aviation Electronics Technician, and have certifications and years of experience over my life-time. Not to brag but just beware to anyone that runs into the same scenario I did.

The customer was right about good content for sure. I have a video repairing a Sony Subwoofer with a very similar failure and was surprised just how many people had the same issue. It is very interesting to see Bose having a very similar issue with a very similar product. If these fail as often as the Sony Subs you may be busy with these. Excellent job!

I know from a business standpoint it doesn’t make much sense to repair this. However it is entertaining to see something different come into the shop! Keep up the good work Alex and crew

My father in law has given me one of these to look at, so without a thermal camera, this has given me a good idea to try. Thanks for making the video, and thanks for the customer of yours who has paid for you to look at it, even though it may not have worked out great financially for them!
