This is just too damned perfect-my lifelong hero ( bought first Dylan album at 14-"Blood On The Tracks"-52 years ago!) singing probably the song which feels more like Me than any other i have ever heard.

At 1.19 the captions have got Bob not standing "hovels" . The word should be "hobbles" ( used to restrain horses). Yep, basic literary skills on the way out..

I'd like to add, that not only does BobDylan alter the melody at the top of the song, the are MORE subtle changes in chord progression at times, and the mood of this piece, has, for once, actually changed .
David Byrne, from the Talking Heads, whom I respect a lot, did this song also, and although, it's fast and chaotic in its mood etc, thera are no alterations to its basic melody etc.

Great performance. Crazy that whoever runs this account uploaded a faulty version that only uses the left channel. Hopefully this will be rectified soon.

By staying on the same chord ..instead of selecting a transition chord ..at points, , well hes done this before and it is so different and pretty .. he does not follow convention ..and so we get some genuine interesting moves .

I'm not happy about Reagan, but as usual Bob Dylan hits a home run with adapting a standard . It's very beautiful and I've mentioned elsewhere, that's he is the only one I know of, that has altered this melody line !! In the second sentence, let me ride, , , etc .. Instead of going down .. he stays on the last note and then takes it upward !! Jane
