I have a PSP but I still prefer the emulator. I have mapped the speed up button (~) to one of the unused triggers and the save state feature to the other one. These features help you go back to older games. GTA VCS has some very boring side missions but with save state, you can save after every level of side missions like the paramedic mission. It just makes the games more fun.
I did follow your walkthrough to get 100% completion in LCS 😁.

Another thing to mention - there are actually mods for PSP versions of LCS and VCS nowadays. There is a mod that brings textures from PS2 to the PSP version so it looks better when played using emulator on a big screen (PPSSPP works better than PSX2). Additionally mods like 2DFX and widescreen fix are available for these games.

I just finished 100% completion in GTA VCS on PS Vita. It was so awesome! If you have a modded PS Vita you can use a plugin to enable camera controlls for the right analog stick. I think it's also possible to do it on the ppsspp emulator as well, making it on par in terms of controll with the PS2 version.

download the wide screen fix to have the camera movement on the right stick. It includes the Project 2DFX too!

You should update this guide for 2024 and add that you can get a plugin on the psp to enable the disabled right stick camera

I don’t know why but frameskipping always hindered me instead of helping, so I kept it off for smoother performance. Other than that, all of the settings should stay as you showed them.

You know, some mods exist now to make these games run in 60FPS. Vice City Stories, for example. Although the most stable one is only available for the PS2 version/emulator.

Someone made widescreen fixes, texture mods and patches for these emulated games on psp and ps2. I'm not sure how to install them but they would be cool as a mini remaster

It's funny, I have completed GTA LCS (100%) some time ago. I am sure that with your guide i would have less problems :D Also, to the one interested.
