I don’t think it’s disrespectful to Fred. The living have to go on. Nobody has to feel obligated to take the place of someone else. People can feel that regardless, but it’s not a healthy or necessary feeling. Angelina has the right to decide whom she dates, so it is fair to her. As long as they’re happy and not hurting others, what we feel doesn’t matter.

It's called "shared trauma", and I've seen PLENTY of siblings/best friends/etc. of deceased people marrying their widows/widowers and living very happy lives. There's nothing strange or creepy about it at all. It's called "moving on".

I mean they were teenagers, I like to think that time had passed maybe 5-6 years they kinda kept in touch but not really both dated maybe one or two people in the space between Fred’s death, then one day she comes into Weasleys wizard wheezes, and George sees her and approaches or they bump into each other in diagon alley, they bond over there shared trauma and time at school. It’s slow they both don’t realise they have feelings for each other then something happens idk what maybe an old ex or one of them almost dies, and they realise they can’t live with out the other, Angelina dated Fred when they where children, and George feels as though he has found someone who understands him not like his brother but the next best thing so they start dating.
I don’t think Fred would be disrespected. I think he would want his brother and Angelina to be happy and if they made each other happy then that’s all that matters.

Why not? Fred has a lot of similarities with George anyways, it shouldn't be a surprise if Angelina began to like him, not as George's twin but as Fred himself. And Fred, having a lot similarities with Geoge, might also find Angelina attractive. It's only natural for them to later on fall in love. Not to mention they both needed consolation from the loss of George, whom they both loved dearly

I think it really depends on the people involved and just what their relationships were before Fred’s death. All we knew for certain from the books were that Fred and Angelina went to the Yule Ball together after being teammates and most likely friends for years. We don’t get details of their relationship afterwards. Not like Cho who seemed to date Harry because he watched Cedric die. If Angelina only dated George because he looked like Fred, yeah that is messed up. The war was tragic for everyone. We never learn who else Angelina might have lost or who else the three of them might have dated. For all we know, Fred only went on one date with her before she started dating George. It is not uncommon for someone to date a set of twins, after realizing they were more compatible with the other.
