My god the VA literally killed it. Almost gave me shivers

He never raises his voice the entire time. Gives me chills.
The scene was great in the original, but the English VA knocked it out of the park.

I got to say I love that he says “you deserve this.” So chillingly cold but I’m so many scenarios the protagonist is either “your not worth my time” or “I take great joy in your death!” Here he’s just killing someone’s who deserved death but he takes no pleasure in it it’s just a chore to him.

*THIS.* The utter calmness with only the faintest hints of rage. THIS is ART.

The quiet "You deserve this" at the end gives me chills. He sounds like he's just stating a fact and the fact that it's said in an almost whisper makes it even creepier.

Him quietly saying "You deserve this" is downright spooky. Fantastic Dub.

Normally, Dallas is often screaming, but this is proof that he can play a quiet, dark, sadistic character as well. Almost like a serial killer from Criminal Minds.

Or maybe, even Jeffery Dahmer.

Holy shit, this gave me chills, literal chills. In the original it was good, but this dub just cranked Makoto's madness up to 11! One of the moments when the dub somehow manages to outperform the sub.

Paying my respect to the Fallen Orc, Tomoe’s Fragment and any other fallen Demi-humans 😔😢

People usually think of Characters like Asta when hearing Dallas Reid's voice but remember he was also Isaac Foster from Angels of Death.

Lesson of the day: Beware of the terror from a kind and gentle soul

I love how "unsettled" the whole sequence feels, both because of the work of the voice actor as well as the setting of the scene, it even gives a little chills how calm his voice sounds. 👌

Makoto Misumi showed no mercy for a thief that killed the innocence of the demi-plain
Great way to be responsible dude

I really like how this character dealt with that thief.

No screaming oaths of vengeance or drag-out search over the continent for her.
No vanishing without a trace with her ill gains just to find her later being remorseful for her actions.
No fighting through adventures just end her life and let the goddess who sent him her know he was taking out one of her worthless human trash she was so proud of...

The protagonist just calmly walked though a dark and misty setting, used a calm voice which the thief barely understood but felt the fear behind it as he went forward to make sure she doesn't organize or lead any more future raids into the Demiplane Village.

Let her make the first move, disarmed her, and then put her out of her misery with no anger or malice in his tone or looks of vengeance on his face.

To him, it was the atonement to the fallen and ensuring no one like that woman consumed by greed and vanity entered their lands ever again.

Ayo, that voice acting was amazing this guy needs more roles if he already doesn't get plenty

She was probably pretty lucky that Makoto was that angry. I'm pretty sure that if he had been a little calmer, after cutting off her hands he'd have probably cauterized the wounds with fire and dragged her back to the demi-plane to face trial. And I'm pretty sure more than a few family members of the victims would be all too happy to help.

Both voice actors killed it, she makes the scene feel satisfying to watch as she is cut down. And needless to say he couldn't have picked a better tone.

The poetic nature of the scene is truly outstanding - Makoto, in his innocent ignorance failed to protect his citizens from the vile greed of humans, and that woman is his punishment.
A truly harsh lesson provokes a similarly harsh response as Makoto immediately, with a calm yet terrifying rage, discards what sympathy he may have had, by surgically removing the vermin he had allowed to infest his home. *chef's kiss*
