Did you know that Jujutsu Sousen, the prototype version of our beloved series Jujutsu Kaisen series, was actually “rejected” in its first submission? Before publishing the manga, all authors need to submit a draft of their series consisting of chapters 1 to three to the publisher, and JJK Sousen is Gege’s pitch. This story is still very interesting and way darker with Megumi as the main protagonist instead of Yuji, as he is the one possessed by Sukuna. I mean, sooner or later. However, Sousen was rejected by the editor and Gege had to rewrite the story to its current form. The editor believed that Sousen was too dark for a shonen series as it contains more seinen vibes since there are a lot of adults and deaths in the culling game.

Thank god for the facts and putting real information. Gege NEVER said it was boring at all. He took the time and effort to made whole 3 chapters of the drafts
