Right on the edge of a speed wobble. I know, fast descents are fun, but a microsecond away from a very serious situation.

"THAT".
Is living.

It's being on the edge.
It's experiencing your limits.
It's no room for mistakes.

I've been there so many times.
It's liberating.
Frees your mind of everything else.

I'm 63.
And I'm "still" doing it.

Thanks for the post.

The fastest I've done was 102 km/h thinking "glad I've got my Lycra and a piece of polystyrene on my head" 😄

64 was my top speed. All I did was kept waiting for something to go wrong lol. One crack. One rock.

Trying to do my part in making it a better world, from the looks of it, im doing a terrible job...i think if more people rode bikes it would be a better place.

It's fun the first time. Second time you see the danger. The rest is tempting fate. So much fun though. If you love it, it's worth it.

The last time I went that fast was on my gravel bike. I was dropped after cramping on a 9 mile climb about 3 miles from the top. Hit pavement on the descent. Was thinking, "I should slow down. I don't know this road at all. F*ck it." Then I went over a stone wall. Fortunately, I landed on my back in a clear and soft spot. Had to climb down to pull my bike out of a tree. Front wheel was pretty messed up.

I have a friend that loves to super tuck and I am always right behind him coasting in an upright position laughing my @$$ off. Not worth the risk of not being able to recover at those speeds. I had a rear triangle fracture just as I hit 51mph on a curve with an oncoming car in the other lane and good thing I was in a ready position as reaction time to save it was instantaneous.

Eh, not particularly. But I'm ok with not living an extraordinary life, at this point I would settle for just a happy one.

I have a Roll Adventure that I do about 60 down a certain section of my one of my rides. The front is usually planted unless I hit a very large bump mid corner. It's a Strava downhill KOM and I wish someone could come close to beating it someday.

I raced superbikes on the US national level all in my 20s and this is about the only kind of activity that can get me even halfway to that feeling I once had on the circuit tracks.

Love the videos and always leave a few % extra for traction, just in case :)

I try to live my life with the creed I can make a difference even if its with just a few people. On another note good gravy man over 60 mph crazy stuff

As a retired Cop and Medal of Valor awardee with my Department, I experienced several adrenaline rushes daily. Riding fast downhill on my Pinarello or Specialized has never even come close to the rush of a foot pursuit after a high speed car chase and subsequent violent arrest of the suspect. I guess we all have different levels of need

I'm just fascinated about where the roads your in. It's just like you have your own world.

I once speed at 75km/h (46, 6 mph) with my mountain bike on a steep road.
That was f*ng scary ! I can't imagine at 100+ km/h 🤯
