Cyberpunk 2077 - Update 1.7...Wait Is This For Real? All New Updates!

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.7 is going to be getting some amazing features but it appears it might also be getting a next-gen only feature. Take with it a grain of salt but let's take a look. Also, let's talk about the importance of Street Cred and how it needs to change in Phantom Liberty expansion.

One thing they should change is how Wakako and Padre introduce themselves when you enter their districts for the first time. It doesn't make sense that they talk to V as if they never met even though the first gig you play, Wakako talks to V and Jackie with familarity and Padre is in the montage just before that mission. Not to mention his dialogue during Jackie's ofrenda suggesting they were close.

I would love to flesh out the environment more floors in mega blocks, bars, shops etc just to make the world feel more lived in.

Street cred shouldve had a dedicated system in terms of dialogs and combat. Like enemies being stunned with fear.
Getting discounts, access to hidden legendary items. And random city events\ missions related to your current street cred.

I honestly want them to add more to the relationships. You have a whole city to do things in, but your love interest just hangs out in their area, you don't talk much, and get like a few instances of texting.

Season 2 of Edgerunners should be the 6 month montage of Jackie and V working together expanded, and it should end with Dexter calling Jackie.

I really hope that redmod comes to console. Bethesda allowed console mods in both skyrim and fallout 4, and I believe it's one of the main reasons those games have such an active player base all of these years later.

David is a street kid in the series. Seems like it would make sense to do a season for every life path. In each new season the events of the previouse season could play out in the background of the current season an connect in small ways. Seems like a winner to me.

I'd love the option to have one or both your character's arms/legs appear be mechanical, especially if you could change the appearance. Basically like Johnny Silverhand's arm, but not holographic, and you could have it on both arms. I'd like to have a lot more options in tattoos too, both face and body. Honestly, I love the game, and just hope the expansion adds more of EVERYTHING!

They say that it doesn't increase Substantially after the Heist. You DON'T have to do the heist first, you CAN finish the island first THEN do the Heist, as you CAN get to 30 Street Cred before the Heist.

I really hope cdpr makes it possible to have mods on consoles because we really need them and especially if they're leaving the game to the players, whether you're on ps5 or xbox series x/s it would make things not only more awesome but also give the replayability a massive and needed boost

There are still so many things that are underused, dont make sense and you kinda see where they cut corners. They have diffrent body types, like, fat people, but, player cant choose those.
So many clothes you see on NPCs that the player cant buy. Same for Vehicles. The Cars etc. are finished, fully functioning just the player cant own them.
Diffrent Vehicles with diffrent paint jobs, fully finished on other Cars. Why not just add a phone contact that opens a menu where you can edit cars you have in your "Garage" and choose already existing Paint jobs?
The extreme North and Extreme South Areas are completly Barren of things you can do, 1 or 2 Quests that lead you there and you can forget like, 25% of the Area even exist because there is nothing. Maybe the Sprinkled "Secret" item or scene for the "Explorer" Types that needed 20 mins of work to be finished.
The Prominent "Side Quests" have the feel that they were meant as major quests but got toned down because no time left. Besides going from quest to quest there is nothing really to do. Some "Time wasting stuff" like watching TV in game. Instead you get NCPD events Scattershot all around the City so that it gets filled.
ONLY the characters that meant to be Prominent are super Detailed, all Rando NPC and unimportant characters have much less Detail, sometimes even rougher Textures and so on. Then look at all the Detailed characters they didnt do much with.

Dont get me wrong, i like the Game, even as it is. Im just sad that you see all these Cut corners in the Game. Its a constant reminder of what they intended to do at the start but didnt realise.

Leaving the game to modders is probably the best thing to do honestly, the corpo suits would never let them fix it to the levels modders will.

I think that NOT having much street cred is kinda important to the early story. Dex intentionally went for expendables. He was also not in good with the runners as he had dropped off the grid, so he needed some unknowns who were hungry. That's my take on it anyway.

We're seriously overestimating how much of a rework to systems there will be with the expansion. At this point in the game, I don't expect anything to be done with Street Cred. Looking forward to Phantom Liberty, but we should keep expectations tempered about our personal 2077 wishlists for now.

Maybe modders will come up with something better down the line?

i think the reason crowd density is turned off is because they haven't made any new random civilian models so finding the same guy 12 times is no longer as apparent

Them being so vocal about Redmod is pretty suspicious. Especially when some people seem to interpret it as CDPR "Investing in the long term support of 2077" or some crap like that.

It's them unloading all their failure that they won't address themselves on the Modding community.

It's a cop-out and disingenuous at best.

Meanwhile they are moving on to make a couple of new games, including a new Cyberpunk game NOT using their Red Engine.

It's pretty easy to see they don't care and they never really did. Or rather, at least the majority of who's left at CDPR after most of their talented and passionate devs left ages ago.

Streetcred sounds like a great idea. I was not familiar enough with the game before doing the tower heist. It also fits the lore perfectly.
