The female lions are much faster runners than the male lions so they run down the prey.
The tiger is too large to do that.
It would have trouble catching prey out in the open.
Also lion prides would attack tigers.
A tiger can't take on 4 male lions.

Tigers are inherently afraid of lions. It is a long held myth that tigers, my favorite big cat, were the dominant cats, they aren't. Research it!

Take food from lion? If they can't do it from sloth bears they are going do it from lion? Have you any clue what you are talking about? When it comes to food no animal on earth can't take it from male lion I have seen male lions dominate brown bears over in captivity and a tiger can't hold its ground and flee from a big black mane lion because it's either that or death

I don't agree with you, even a group of lioness can defeat a male lion. Lions live in prides unlike Tigers which are solitary animals, also male lions are used to fighting other animals including other make lions. I reckon tigers will have no chance to compete against lions in Africa.. The king will be the same..
