Wow I actually managed to finish it before patch 6 dropped with new animations??? That would have postponed this again for sure lol

When I stumbled upon this song, it just screamed Gale bad route to me, but I guess in the end I didn't have it in me to fully do it justice? Like even if you force Gale to make all the bad decisions, he doesn't really act… that bad? He lashes out twice (tho you could play a drinking game every time he says 'ambition' in it and get reaaaaally drunk). And I don't even find god!Gale cringe like some people do. He's still… Gale but like… even MORE Gale in a way? If what I'm trying to say doesn't even make sense to you, sorry. xD

Initially I wanted to make a sad end for this video because that's what the song warrants, but then two things happened
1) Even after recording all the 'bad' Gale stuff I didn't think it was THAT warranted. I also absolutely LIVE for the scene where he's pushed towards the crown and tells Mystra off. That's one of my favorite Gale scenes. YOU GO, GALE. He more than deserves to challenge her in that way (or any way he wants) after years of her manipulating him (and worse, but I don't think yt will appreciate the word I actually want to use). You absolutely cannot convince me that challenging Mystra warrants Gale's death. She's literally his abuser ffs. But overall it was a bit of a struggle to come up with enough scenes with Gale to fit the chorus
2) I just wanted to smash every possible Gale epilogue (especially god!Gale) into one vid in case tomorrow I become obsessed with something else and never return to this lol. But all his sad and God epilogue cutscenes are just SO PRETTY HELP

I don't imagine Shadowheart would have actually ascended to godhood with him but PRETTY scene is pretty. And I absolutely love how they look as gods and from different angles it's actually such a sweet scene, too, like Gale smiles when he hugs her okay bye

Anyway, Galeheart rules

Also shoutout to lemotomato on tumblr for giving me a save where spectral Gale doesn't friendzone you in the epilogue, literally all of my saves bugged me out of romance in the epilogues where he dies.

i always loved gale and shadowheart together conceptually (they're my two favs in the game, naturally it's an inclination) but after doing gale's origin, it made me realize how much more compatible they were than i initially believed them to be. this video is so beautifully edited (as are your other ones) aaaah
